A crack in time valkyrie citadel

As you start forward along this ledge, some flying enemies will arrive on the scene and will pelt you with shots from above the gap ahead. You can't jump out to hit them, but you can fire your Constructo Pistol or other projectile weapons to take care of both the flying enemies and the weaker ones that finally materialize around ground level. Then explore the immediate area and you'll find a spring that you can pull into position using your wrench. Launch up from it to reach an area above where a battery bot is running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Grab the bot, then jump and glide over to the far ledge. Head downhill and toss the bot into one of the two exposed sockets on either side of the door. Along the trail leading right from the functioning hover bolt, you'll launch over a wide gap toward another large ledge in the distance.

As you do, hold slightly to the left or you may bounce up against a rock barrier and drop into the abyss far below. When you land successfully on that island, start forward to find yourself under attack by a bunch of the fungi-shaped enemies.

There's a battery bot in this same area, but ignore him for the moment and tend to the enemies. Watch for the spawning plants that regularly send out new foes.

Deal with them first, and remember that the larger mushrooms will split into smaller ones when struck. Once you've destroyed all of the enemies, use your wrench to pull a spring down to the ground. Before you let it carry you across another gap, grab the roaming battery bot.

Then when you use the spring, it'll carry you back to the area just above the door that you need to open. Above Left Once the door opens, use the Omnisoaker to absorb oil from the pedestal. Above Right Drop from the second kick pad and follow the winding path to find a Gold Bolt resting atop a small hill. Throw the bot into the remaining socket and the door will open. You can pass through now to find some oil that your Omnisoaker can absorb. Now spray a glob on the hover bolt and you'll clear away the rust like magic.

Use the hover bolt and launch over the nearby hover ramp, which carries you to the first of several kick pads. Bounce from that first pad to the second one, but then let yourself drop down to the platform on which it rests. Now you can head along the grassy platform. There's a trail winding toward the left. Follow it to find yourself looking out toward a series of grappling points suspended over a gap.

Use those to grapple across the gap. When you land on the far side, continue along the ledge and destroy the slugs that block your progress. Hop up a few more small platforms and you can collect a Gold Bolt for your troubles. Now return to the hover bolt that you oiled into functionality. Launch from it again, but this time make sure that you leap properly from the kick pads. You'll reach a new platform and find Azimuth waiting for you.

Together, the two of you can start forward along the path. Almost immediately, you'll come up against new enemies. The Valkyrie warriors that you face now are a relentless bunch, plus there are quite a few of them. Early on, most of the enemies rush you along ground level. Though they swing hammers capable of dealing hefty damage if the attacks connect, you shouldn't have much trouble clearing away your foes using just your wrench.

There are flying variations to consider, as well. They are more formidable because they'll pepper you with shots and are out of range of your standard weapon. Fire on them with projectile weapons to bring them down to ground level, then finish them off with your wrench so that you can save your bullets for the airborne enemies.

Once you defeat the last of the enemies, Azimuth will say that it's time to press onward. Ignore him for a minute and carefully search the immediate vicinity. Remember where you first entered?

Left from where you first arrived and ahead of where the valkyries attacked , check the air to find a series of hanging grappling points. You can follow those to reach a platform on the opposite side of an abyss. There, a Gold Bolt is waiting. Snag it, then return to where you fought the valkyrie enemies and proceed through the opening after Azimuth.

Above Left Azimuth helps you to fight the flying valkyrie soldiers. Above Right Head to the center of the platter when solving puzzles like this one for a bird's-eye view. Almost immediately, you'll come to a bit of a puzzle.

I've tried moving the slide panels into different configurations, but it's not giving me any love. I could really use a hand over here.

LandoGriffinnn Topic Creator 12 years ago 4. LandoGriffinnn Topic Creator 12 years ago 5. Retract all the bolts and look at the pattern. Extend the ones that look right and turn the crank. Tigernose 12 years ago 7. This looked difficult but the solution is this: You have to get the sliders to go over any highlighted areas.

If there is no highlited area, pull the slider back - before the ridge, where potential highlighted areas can be. Firstly, turn the bolt crank around until you get to the end.

Don't let go, just analyse it and check where needs pulling back or not. Pull back the slider when you don't need it, pull it forward when you do. Make sure you don't have your Hoverboots on when you do this - makes it frustrating. Good luck! LandoGriffinnn Topic Creator 12 years ago 8. Thanks, Tigernose!!!
